The origins

Golfera production factory was born in Lavezzola, an ancient village in Romagna, historically dedicated to charcuterie. During this period our production alternates between salami and mortadella, core specialities for the area.

1989

The birth of an icon.

From a combination of flavour and lightness comes our flagship product: Golfetta.
The first salami made with selected ham, preserved in cotton casing, which won the Oscar for innovation at Cibus in 1990.

After working in top-quality cured meat production and gourmet catering since the seventies, the Zavaglia family takes over Golfera business.

Innovation pioneers, they lay the foundations for the company's development and consolidation.

Leading investment in organic charcuterie.

Golfera is one of the first companies in Italy to launch a complete organic deli meats line, dedicating particular attention to renewable energy and respect for animals and environment.

Expansion into veg-based specialities.

Following new market trends, the company enters the world of vegetable proteins, launching an entirely organic line ideal for vegetarian and vegan consumers.

The opening of the San Mauro Pascoli plant, in the heart of Romagna, brings Alvaro Zavaglia's dream to life: develop a range recipes with authentic flavours and no preservatives, thanks to modern production technologies, ready to taste and easy to prepare.

Excellence in cured hams.

With the constant goal of guaranteeing excellent products, Golfera proceeds with the acquisition of a ham factory in Collecchio, in the Parma area, where we produce our cured hams, including "San Valentino", DOP-certified Parma Ham and other specialities.
