Its instantly recognisable feature is its distinctive drop-shaped form, which has become a hallmark over the years. Produced in our plant in Lavezzola, Golfetta is made from carefully selected lean pork cuts, from pigs born, raised and processed in Italy, belonging to the “Italian Heavy Pig” category.

Every stage of production is carefully monitored, and several steps, such as stuffing and tying, are still carried out by hand, just like in the past. A key element is the cotton case ageing process, which contributes to its signature aroma. Thanks to this unique craftsmanship, Golfetta became a modern icon and was awarded the Cibus Innovation Oscar in 1990, for its original recipe and unmistakable shape.
